Telpo launches face recognition development kit for Android

Telpo showcased its latest biometric devices and introduced a face recognition development kit at last week’s Security Show 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. The Security Show showcases an array of products, technology, systems and services to protect facilities, homes and persons including video surveillance, access control, information security and more.

According to the announcement, Telpo’s “cloud + end” Android application system enables platform builders or software developers to use Telpo face recognition-based smart terminals and AI cloud software to shorten the development cycle by nearly 90%.

The retail smart device provider offers a series of terminals for face recognition access control, face recognition POS, face recognition self-service kiosks, smart controllers and other devices.

Earlier this year Telpo reported strong interest in its biometric retail technology at NRF2019 and in November announced that it ordered fingerprint sensor modules from NEXT Biometrics to be integrated into POS devices for the India market.
