Jumio picked up a couple of Stevie Awards at this year’s 17th annual American Business Awards. The American Business Awards are a U.S business awards program for public and private organizations, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The AI-powered trusted identity as a service provider won a Silver Stevie in the Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year category and a Bronze Stevie in the Fastest Growing Tech Company of the Year category.

According to the announcement, Jumio was named “a company and product to watch out for” by a Stevie Award judge and was recognized for its innovative technology and impressive growth. Last year, Jumio grew its customer count by 60 percent and sales 70 percent year-over-year and launched AI Labs in Montreal to develop deep learning models to improve identity verification accuracy and speed.

“Our momentous growth demonstrates the demand for more reliable means of digital identity verification solutions as more organizations digitally evolve and offer online and mobile services,” says Robert Prigge, Jumio president. “To stay ahead of the fraud curve, Jumio has made innovation a priority by investing in emerging technologies, such as AI, augmented intelligence and machine learning. This investment is delivering the most accurate and innovative digital identity solution on the market.”

Earlier this year Jumio was named to Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2019. Last month the company promoted Robert Prigge to president.
