VSBLTY to provide facial biometrics for Smart City partnership in Latin America

VSBLTY Groupe has partnered with “intelligent lighting” provider Energetika to integrate biometric facial recognition and other security technologies with Smart City systems in Mexico City and other cities in Latin America.

The combined solution will incorporate the crowd analytics and facial recognition capabilities of VSBLTY’s VisionCaptor, DataCaptor, and Facialanalytics offerings. The proprietary DataCaptor software platform provides real-time measurements and analysis of foot traffic in retail settings, large-scale venues, and other public spaces. The company’s VSBLTY Vector can be used alone or in combination with lighting installations or digital signage to identify persons of interest or individuals carrying weapons and intending to cause harm, according to the announcement.

“We are excited to partner with Energetika to provide complete Smart City solutions throughout Latin America,” comments VSBLTY Co-founder and CEO Jay Hutton. “Our state-of-the-art technology includes facial recognition and non-occluded weapon detection using the power of machine learning and computer vision.”

“With the installation of our intelligent lighting, along with VSBLTY’s advanced security technology, Mexico City and other Latin American cities will be able to gather 10 times more data for security purposes while reducing costs, maximizing energy efficiency and generating accurate statistics of facility occupation,” adds Energetika Co-founder and CEO Rodrigo Calderon.

VSBLTY recently added its biometric perimeter security offerings to the portfolio of turnkey solutions offered by Muller Group International.
