ID R&D partners with Biometric Update for enterprise authentication survey
ID R&D and Biometrics Research Group Inc., publisher of Biometric Update, have launched the “2020 Enterprise Biometric Authentication Survey,” asking enterprises about their approaches to authentication and biometrics, and asking biometrics providers about their observations on the market.
Respondents will answer a short series of questions on the pace of biometric authentication deployments, the greatest threats to the integrity of authentications, the benefits of biometric authentication organizations value most, and related issues faced by enterprises applying identity and access management technologies for their customers and employees.
A report from MobileIron in July indicated that more than four out of five organizations are planning to adopt authentication solutions within the next two (now one and a half) years. The survey results will provide them with insights into how businesses are doing so, their barriers and opportunities.
“Biometrics are no longer seen as just an innovative tool for early adopters, but as an essential element of an enterprise security program,” says Alexey Khitrov, ID R&D CEO. “Rigorous industry and internal testing has demonstrated that biometrics delivers on its promise of robust security, and that in turn has powered immense interest in increased integration for businesses of all sizes. We believe the 2020 Enterprise Biometric Authentication Survey will offer key insight into biometric strategy and best practices, and serve as a critical guide to those looking to establish a key competitive differentiator by delivering a better, and more secure, user experience.”
ID R&D recently announced outstanding results in NIST’s 2019 Speaker Recognition Evaluation (SRE): Conversation Telephone Speech (CTS) Challenge.
“The biometrics industry is moving too fast for most businesses to keep up with, which is generating a critical set of challenges for organizations when it comes to authentication for access control,” explains Biometric Update Managing Director Stephen Mayhew. “By partnering with leading organizations in different areas of the biometrics and digital identity industries, we intend to complement the industry news and thought leadership with original insight into the market.”
The results of the “2020 Enterprise Biometric Authentication Survey” are slated for release early in the year.
