Autonomous_ID welcomes Denis R. Herbert to Chairman’s Advisory Board as principal advisor on biometric identity and access-control systems, the company announced.

The news follows the company’s shift from research to real-world implementation of its gait-based biometric identification system and Internet-of-Things (IOT) services.

“I was attracted by the company’s mission to build a fully autonomous biometric identity system and the commitment that Todd and company executives have to advancing identity security and user privacy at the intersection of IOT,” Hebert said. “I believe that a self-governing biometric system in a connected world necessitates the innovations that autonomous_ID brings to the table. This is unquestionably a generational leap forward in biometric systems, and I am excited to play a role,” added Hebert.

Herbert has extensive experience in the biometric identity and access control industry. He is president of cloud-based access control platform Feenics, chairman of Nightingale Security and former chairman of the Security Industry Association. Previous positions include president and CEO of HID Global Corporation, executive vice president of Assa Abloy, and president of NexWatch, a Honeywell International company.

“I am honored to welcome Denis to the Advisory board,” said CEO Todd Gray. “His unparalleled knowledge and industry expertise are a noteworthy endorsement for the company as we pivot to bring our patented autonomous biometric platform and data services to the security, healthcare, insurance and connected IOT markets.”

Enacomm appoints new President & COO

Enacomm has appointed Shawn Hughes as President & Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective January 1, 2020, the company announced.

Hughes has 25 years of experience in strategic business consulting and technology, including 17 at Nuance Communications where he focused his efforts on solutions delivery, customer experience, operations and people.

“Shawn truly is among the ‘best of the best’ when it comes to strategic corporate transformation,” said Michael Boukadakis, Enacomm Chairman & CEO. “I am thrilled to welcome him to the Enacomm team, and we look forward to achieving our next level of growth, for which Shawn’s vision – based on many years spent mastering his craft – will play a significant role.”

In his new role, Hughes will devise a strategy for both short and long-term goals to expand operational functions and processes. He will be responsible for non-business development/marketing organizational functions and workforce, and will supervise all facilities, corporate and branch offices.

“Enacomm is shifting the financial services landscape by arming banks, credit unions and credit card companies of all sizes with the latest technologies that allow them to compete – effectively and affordably – against the biggest players,” said Hughes. “I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and dig in to find new ways for Enacomm to increase efficiencies and continue cultivating a healthy, productive culture so the delivery of its game-changing solutions to financial institutions across the country can be expanded to an even greater degree.”
