Signzy makes Medici list of top RegTech providers for biometric and blockchain onboarding API
Signzy is the only Indian company to be included on the Medici RegTech Top 21 2020 list, recognized as a leading business in the digital identity, customer onboarding and video KYC category, the company claims in an announcement.
The list is sponsored by fintech accelerator Magnifico, established following a partnership between Ernst & Young (EY) and Medici to find fintech talent across EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
Signzy has been recognized as one of the year’s big disruptors with a strong growth and market presence. The company develops biometric signatures and blockchain technology that reduce customer dropout rates during onboarding and improves productivity. Its API platform detects digital forgery by identifying different types of documents.
“We are truly honored and excited by this latest recognition of our work,” said Signzy Co-founder Ankit Ratan in the announcement. “Effectively addressing the compliance, security, and regulatory requirements of our banking and financial services partners have been Signzy’s vision right from our inception. We are glad to have found success and recognition on our journey of growth. We also dedicate this achievement to our customers and our employees who have demonstrated confidence in us throughout.”
The seven RegTech verticals on the list are AML and CFT, Compliance Management, Market & Trade Surveillance, Risk Management, Digital Identity, Customer Onboarding and KYC, Regulatory Change Management and Regulatory Reporting.
Other company features considered in the selection process include industry growth and traction over the past three years, unique proposition and competitive advantage.
Signzy’s Video KYC technology has so far been chosen by more than 90 Indian companies, including banks, insurance firms, asset management companies and NBFCs. It has closed a deal with Mastercard for international exposure and already has offices in New York and Dubai.
High demand for its video eKYC solution due to the pandemic has prompted Signzy to hire close to 70 new employees.
