Biometrics community prepares for FIDO Alliance and Goode Intelligence events in November
 

The FIDO Alliance’s Authenticate 2020 Conference will be held as an online event from November 9 to 19, 2020.

The event will be the first dedicated to who, what, why and how of user authentication and focussed on a FIDO standards-based approach to answering these questions. Registration is free for industry professionals to provide them with education, tools and best practices for modern authentication to a wide range of applications with biometrics or physical tokens.

Keynote presentations will be delivered by Uniken Senior Advisor Dr. Whitfield Diffie, the co-inventor of public key cryptography, as well as Microsoft Identity Corporate Vice President Joy Chik, Yubico CEO and Founder Stina Ehrensvärd, Google Senior Director of Product Management Mark Risher and FIDO Alliance Executive Director and Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Shikiar.

Case studies will be shared by CVS Health, EMILY’s List, Facebook, Google, IBM, MITRE Corporation, NTT Docomo and more. Policy discussion will be held around PSD2, GDPR and eIDAS, as well as improving authentication privacy, and presentations on standards and technical implementation of FIDO for identity verification, IoT, open banking, future payments and more will be held.

A virtual expo hall described in the announcement as “virtually rich and immersive” will be held with exhibitors including Feitian, HID Global, Nok Nok Labs, AuthenTrend, Aware, iProov, One World Identity, and many more.

Identity Futures London details unveiled

Goode Intelligence’s Identity Futures London 2020 will combine the research analyst and consultancy’s Biometrics and Identity Summits for three days of keynotes, presentations, industry-led moderated panels and interviews.

The online event will be held November 23 to 25, and delegate registration is free.

Confirmed speakers include Goode Intelligence CEO and Chief Analyst Alan Goode, executives from Daltrey and ID R&D, and several experts from strategic partner Women in Identity.

Topics explored during the event will include the impact of COVID-19, privacy and ethics, digital onboarding, ID for transportation, healthcare, and government interactions, as well as regulations, biometric payments, self-sovereign identity and open banking.
