Nymi launches partner program to expand wearable biometric authentication use cases

Nymi has launched its technology partner program to provide comprehensive biometric solutions for connected workers to meet a range of business requirements through partnerships.

The continuous touchless authentication of the Nymi Band supports zero-trust security principles and access control through fingerprint and heartbeat biometrics, and the Nymi Technology Partner Program is intended to help companies utilize these capabilities for broader functionality and new use cases. In addition to physical and logical access, the Nymi Band is also used for social distancing and contract tracing.

“Demand is surging for holistic connected worker solutions that ensure active worker safety during the pandemic, but also secure access to places and systems, transaction authorizations and more on the same platform,” said Andrew Foxcroft, Vice President of Nymi. “We are excited to grow our ecosystem of technology partners collaborating on bringing more powerful connected worker capabilities to market with our wearables to address the business challenges of today and tomorrow.”

Existing partners including HID Global, ThinManager and POMS have already benefits from converging the capabilities of their own technology with the Nymi Band 3.0, according to the announcement. Nymi and HID recently partnered to bring touchless high-assurance authentication to pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and customers in other industries through HID’s Seos credential software.

Participants in the partner program receive a set of services to accelerate value additions, and access to technology, sales and marketing support as needed.

Nymi offers integration options for protocols and standards like FIDO2 and PIV, as well as native API integrations.
