New Jersey-based 1Kosmos, a digital identity and passwordless authentication developer, will make its next generation contact-free biometric BlockID technology available on digital identity solutions hub, Auth0 Marketplace.

Block ID is a passwordless sign-on solution that verifies a user’s identity prior to the authentication process, and is powered by advanced biometrics and Blockchain technology. It verifies the identity of employees and customers who require physical and logical access to facilities, systems, and applications, providing high level identity and authentication assurance, according to 1Kosmos website.

This meets the need where employees using social login to access single sign-on apps to conduct business cannot otherwise prove their identity. Auth0 customers can use BlockID to enhance their authentication, and Auth0 will also leverage the company’s uncompromisable private blockchain ecosystem.

“We are extremely excited to partner with Auth0 and offer our BlockID platform to their customers via Auth0 Marketplace,” said Michael Granat, director of business development at 1Kosmos. “Being a standards-based, biometric, and Blockchain-enabled platform will ensure the security of our users and protect them from the risks of phishing attacks and lost or borrowed credentials.”

BlockID enrolls users by triangulating a given claim with a multitude of documents including advanced biometrics and a liveness test. The verification process includes the use of verifiable credentials in their digital form. BlockID products include Verify, Workforce and Customer solutions.

“The addition of 1Kosmos to Auth0 Marketplace adds greater breadth to our platform and gives customers even more extensibility and flexibility when designing the identity platform of their dreams,” said Bill Lapcevic, VP of Business Development at Auth0.

As a partner, 1Kosmos says it will be able to increase its visibility on the marketplace and participate in the demand for digital identity solutions.
