Anviz releases face biometric terminals with mask and temperature alerts

Anviz has released two new biometric face terminals featuring mask recognition and temperature alert features.

The FaceDeep 5 and FaceDeep 5 IRT belong to the company’s Go Touchless product line and have been released by Anviz to foster the return to work and school even amidst the ongoing pandemic.

According to the company, the biometric terminals’ capabilities would ensure that people that are showing COVID-19 symptoms would not be allowed into buildings to safeguard others.

The machine would also encourage them to wear face masks, as access will be denied to individuals not wearing them.

The AI-based facial recognition terminals are powered by a dual-core based Linux CPU and run the latest BioNANO deep learning algorithm enabling them to recognize faces with speed and accuracy.

Both FaceDeep 5 and FaceDeep 5 IRT are compatible with time and attendance and access control management software CrossChex, a tool developed by the company to manage personnel information based on biometric information.

According to Anviz, the new terminals can be installed in public buildings, government facilities, educational institutions, hospitals, professional service firms, and retails.

The announcement follows a letter the U.S. Security Industry Association (SIA) sent to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last November, asking for further scrutiny of non-compliant temperature systems.
