Coppernic signs biometrics reseller agreement with Vietnam’s MK Group

Accelerating the deployment of biometric mobile solutions
Coppernic signs biometrics reseller agreement with Vietnam’s MK Group

Mobile biometrics specialist Coppernic has announced a new regional partnership with digital security solutions firm MK Group in Vietnam.

As part of the new value-added reseller (VAR) agreement, MK Group will now promote and accelerate the deployment of Coppernic solutions in Vietnam, Laos, Cambogia, and Myanmar.

“We are delighted to enter into this agreement with MK Group, this agreement is another step in our strategy to accelerate our growth outside of Europe,” said Alain Faburel, chief sales officer of Coppernic. “MK Group has a leading position in its market and will create value for its own customers integrating Coppernic’s products,” he added.

The collaboration will also see MK Group integrating some of Coppernic’s products for government and eKYC use cases.

Specifically, MK Group will deploy Coppernic’s biometric tablets for enrollment and authentication as well as the C-One2 e-ID, an all-in-one handheld device designed for law enforcement and border control applications.

Coppernic’s FAP50 reader can read ten fingerprints in three entries, and uses light emitting sensor (LES) technology to provide very high-quality images. The device can also perform iris and face scanning.

The C-One2 e-ID platform, on the other hand, proves individuals’ identity by comparing their biometric “signature” with the one encrypted in their proof of identity document (1:1) or police databases (1:N).

“After detailed evaluation of several products on the market,” explained Mr. Nguyen Trong Khang, Chairman of MK Group, “[we] decided to integrate Coppernic’s products that demonstrated the best performances and quality. “This agreement will bring us a strategic piece to complete our offering to government and private sector projects.”

Coppernic announced the integration of fingerprint scanners from Suprema ID into its FAP 30 mobile biometric solution mid-way through 2020.
