Animetrics strategically partners with biometrics firm Raptor ID

Animetrics, a leading developer of advanced 3D facial recognition and identity management solutions for military, intelligence and law enforcement, is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with Raptor Identification Systems (Raptor ID), makers of ruggedized Android 4.0-based mobile devices that combine leading edge biometric technologies with commercially current handheld smartphone and tablet technologies.

“Raptor ID has revolutionized biometric screening on mobile platforms,” said Animetrics President and CEO Paul Schuepp. “This partnership puts Animetrics’ advanced facial recognition in the hands of the warfighter and intelligence agents out in the field – representing a crucial next step in mobilizing our technology for the battlefield environments of today and tomorrow.”

Raptor ID’s open platform concept allows for a simple, straightforward integration of Animetrics’ facial identity management software onto Raptor ID’s products. Animetrics provides next generation facial recognition and investigative face biometric tools to government and intelligence agencies around the world, utilizing Animetrics’ cloud-based FaceR Identity Management System (FIMS Cloud) and its suite of FaceR facial biometric identity and screening applications including FaceR MobileID and FaceR CredentialME.

For the first time, law enforcement officials, military personnel and intelligence officers will have access to Animetrics’ precise 3D facial recognition technology and the full capabilities of its FaceR Lights Out Face and Investigative Face biometric solutions running as a localized application on Raptor ID’s mobile devices.

The FaceR MobileID application will also be able to run locally on the Android device without communications to the FIMS Cloud for local watchlist processing. This mobile technology will allow users to instantly access watchlists and run suspects’ facial biometrics against watchlists to search for any possible matches. The Animetrics-Raptor ID pairing will enable users to depend less on the technology at their home base, providing them more time in the field where they can actively serve and protect.

“Animetrics is a recognized leader in 3D facial recognition technology,” said Charles Strasburger, chairman and CEO of Raptor ID. “We are pleased Animetrics has chosen Raptor ID’s mobile devices as an endpoint for their facial identity management application and enrollment interface.”
