FingerTec USA announces new facial recognition technology and fingerprint scanner

 

FingerTec USA has unveiled its newest facial recognition technology offering, the Face ID 4 and the OFIS Gateway fingerprint scanner.

“At FingerTec USA, we aim to supply companies with low-cost biometrics products in order to encourage safer login practices. Our software is designed with ease of use and 100% reliability in mind,” Ryan King, technical manager for FingerTec USA. “Businesses can protect their information efficiently, especially with the new Face ID 4 series, which is designed to recognize employees’ faces in a matter of seconds.”

The new FingerTec Face ID 4 series offers a contactless solution, which detects unique facial features and responds accordingly for precise attendance reporting. The Face ID 4 boasts a high-resolution camera and infrared feature, improving the tool’s ability to detect faces in low light.

According to the company, the Face ID 4 series is optimized for time attendance only, but also comes in the Face ID 4d version, which offers added features such as door access.

The OFIS Gateway is a biometric time clock, that integrates fingerprint scanning into a PC and comes bundled with the OFIX-X or OFIS-Y scanners.

As reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, NMC healthcare, an integrated healthcare company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, as opted to use FingerTec USA’s TA103TC biometric timeclock to track the attendance and overtime hours of its employees across its offices in the UAE.
