ImageWare Systems has settled its patent litigation with WCC Services US and Creative Technology Inc, though the terms of this settlement remain confidential.

As a result of the settlement, WCC and CITI have obtained a royalty bearing license to IWSY’s patents at issue in the suit, which cover multi-modal biometric platforms and fusion of biometric modalities.

“We are pleased to reach an agreement that brings the pending litigation with WCC and CITI to a close,” Jim Miller, chairman and CEO of ImageWare Systems said. “We believe this settlement underscores the value of Imageware’s patent portfolio and leadership in the field of multi- modal biometrics.”

Reported previously, ImageWare recently announced a partnership with Global Payout for its GoCloudID SaaS platform.
