Animetrics gets GSA Schedule 70 contract, certified to sell facial recognition to the federal government

Animetrics has announced that it has been awarded a GSA Schedule 70 contract and is now certified to provide “Information Technology Equipment, Software and Services” to the U.S. Federal Government.

“With this schedule, we’ll have an opportunity to provide federal agencies with latest generation facial recognition and identity management software and open up significantly more markets for our growing business throughout the country,” Paul Schuepp, President & CEO at Animetrics said. “Our schedule will expand our reach beyond the federal government to numerous state and municipal governments as we can now offer their law enforcement agencies this advanced software at fixed government pricing.”

According to the company, Animetrics has placed its Advanced Investigative Facial Recognition Solution for Law Enforcement: Forensica GPS on the government’s electronic ordering system, GSA Advantage.

Animetrics core algorithms are based on four patents and take 2D facial images and convert them to three-dimensions for verification and identification.

Reported previously, earlier this year, the company launched its first facial recognition API – FaceR — for commercial licensing.
