Precise Biometrics updates line of smart card readers for smartphones and tablets

 

Precise Biometrics has launched three new Tactivo smart card readers for iPhone 6, iPad mini 3 and iPad Air 2.

Featuring a sleek one-piece design, Precise Biometrics’ Tactivo line provides convenient and secure access to restricted resources from mobile devices and enables organizations to go mobile via smart cards. Tactivo products provide strong authentication through the built-in fingerprint sensor and smart card reader.

Tactivo smart card readers can be used with a range of applications for various use cases, including secure browsing, email, document signing and more.

Precise Biometrics’ partner network includes some of the largest mobility vendors, which offer solutions that can be integrated into any smart card infrastructure.

The new mobile smart card readers can also be used in desktop format by connecting it to the computer via a USB-cable.

Tactivo for iPad mini 3 is now available, which is compatible with iPad mini 2 & iPad mini.

Additionally, Tactivo for Ipad Air will be launched in February, while Tactivo for iPhone 6 will be available at the end of first quarter of 2015.

The company is now taking pre-orders on Tactivo for iPhone 6 and Tactivo for iPad Air 2 through Precise Biometrics’ resellers or by emailing sales@precisebiometrics.com.
