GenKey releases BioFinger SDK

Biometric identity and election management solutions firm GenKey has released its new BioFinger SDK fingerprint matching technology.

GenKey’s BioFinger 1.0 has achieved excellent performance results and a high ranking in the FVC-onGoing, a web-based evaluation system that compares accuracy and speed of fingerprint SDKs from different vendors as evaluated by an independent organization.

BioFinger 1.0 reached a 1:1 benchmark in the “Standard” category, which measures the accuracy of fingerprint matching solutions in real-life large-scale fingerprint applications.

Additionally, BioFinger 1.0 attained a 1:1 benchmark in the “Hard” category, which puts the SDKs through a number of difficult cases, such as noisy images and distorted impressions.

“As part of our strategy to invest in state-of-the-art biometric technology, I am pleased to see that BioFinger is now made available to our partners”, said Michiel van der Veen, CEO of GenKey. “The outstanding performance, even on very difficult biometric subjects, is key to continuing to improve our offerings in the Election and Health markets, as well as to preparing us for the world-wide trend of mobile and embedded applications.”

Headquartered in the Netherlands, with further offices in Africa and the US, GenKey provide biometric technologies for applications in elections, healthcare and large-scale ID management.
