ZKAccess transitions to independent biometrics firm

Categories Biometrics News  |  Trade Notes

ZKAccess announced that it has successfully transitioned into an independent company known as ZKAccess, LLC in an effort to meet the significant rise in demand for its security products in the U.S. and Canada,.

The company previously operated for the last three years as a business unit under ZKTeco.

ZKAccess brings to market a range of advanced biometric security and integrated video solutions, as well as traditional RFID-based readers and panels.

To accommodate its newly independent status, ZKAccess, LLC has expanded its sales and engineering teams, as well as opened a new U.S. office in Fairfield, New Jersey to meet the needs of its growing staff, warehouse and customer learning center.

Additionally, the company has appointed long-time VP of sales Larry Reed CEO while biometrics industry veteran Manish Dalal has been named COO and product manager.

“By creating a separate company, ZKAccess can now be even more responsive to our customers’ needs for technical support and product enhancements,” said Reed. “It will also enable us to focus more intently on growing new and often under-served sales channels.”

“Dedicating our R&D and Operations efforts specifically to security products will allow us to respond to the needs of our customers much more quickly,” said Dalal. “All our time and energy can now be focused on building and supporting the most innovate yet cost-effective security solutions the industry has ever seen.”
