Microsoft highlights NEXT Biometrics fingerprint sensors at Windows event

Next Biometrics announced that its fingerprint technology was highlighted at a recent Microsoft event addressing secure authentication initiatives in Windows.

At the event, Microsoft management recognized Next Biometrics as one of the world’s two leading fingerprint sensor suppliers.

“Microsoft continues its strategic drive for higher quality levels of security and convenience in Windows,” said Tore Etholm-Idsøe, CEO Next Biometrics. “Through Windows, Next Biometrics sensor drivers are now made available for world users of Windows 8 and 10. We continue our strategic support of the Microsoft activities. As recently further supported by the Madrid Report. Next is uniquely able to meet the mass market requirements of security and convenience at price levels compatible with the Notebook and Tablet device world market.”

Previously reported, NEXT Biometrics Group ASA announced that a study by University Carlos III of Madrid proves that fingerprint sensor accuracy directly correlates to the size of sensors used in smartphones, PCs and other devices.
