STC demos latest multimodal biometric solutions at Africa Aerospace and Defence Expo
Earlier this month, Russian firm STC Group presented its latest multimodal biometric solutions, professional recorders, multi-channel recording systems and forensic analysis tools at the biennial Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Expo, which took place from September 14 to 18 at Waterkloof Airforce Base in Pretoria, South Africa.
According to a company statement, AAD is the biggest exhibition of its kind on the African continent and one of the world’s premier Aerospace and Defence exhibitions. The expo covers the range of services, equipment and technology related to the defense and aerospace areas and brings together leaders of various industries from throughout the world in order to showcase the latest technological innovations and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
“Attention to biometric technologies on the African continent is raising rapidly,” commented STC Chief Commercial Officer Akop Mkhitaryan. “South Africa and Nigeria are the key revenue generating countries in the African biometrics market. African governments initiate biometric-based projects such as elector identification and biometric base of low-cost housing applicants. So, South Africa market is very promising.”
STC’s technologies were presented among products from Boeing, Airbus, Kelvin Huges and Inmarsat.
