Russian firm BioLink Solutions has integrated OT-Morpho biometric terminals into its BioTime system to more effectively manage employees working time and access to business premises.

Currently used by more than 1,500 companies in 15 countries worldwide, the biometric technology-reliant BioTime software is specifically designed for time and attendance and access control applications.

The BioTime registration module now interfaces with the MorphoSmart range of fingerprint scanners to capture employees fingerprint images and convert them into templates — in other words, the numeric representations of the fingerprints.

With enrollment quality being an integral component of any biometric system, BioLink chose OT-Morpho’s sensors for their international reputation of having a high level of performance and robustness.

“We are extremely satisfied with what we have achieved working with the world leader in biometric terminals,” Konstantin Sorokin, general director at BioLink Solutions, said. “By completing the integration of OT-Morpho products, trusted by clients around the world, we have enhanced the reliability of our BioTime system.”

In addition, the BioTime system can now connect through IP network to the OT-Morpho’s SIGMA Family of fingerprint time clocks and populate their internal memory with the enrolled templates.

The SIGMA biometric terminals provide fast one-to-many user identification to control the access to both indoor and outdoor premises. Employees can clock in or out, and gain access by placing their fingers onto the embedded optical fingerprint sensors.

The biometric readers transfer in real-time accurate attendance records to the centralized BioTime system, which connects to human resources or accounting departments.

“We highly value our partnership with BioLink,” said Antoine Grenier, general manager and vice president of access control for OEM & gaming at Morpho. “This cooperation is very promising and gives us the opportunity to distribute our products as part of a solution designed for Russia and other countries of the CIS.”

Previously reported, Bob Eckel of OT-Morpho will join the International Biometrics + Identity Association (IBIA) Board of Directors.
