Imprivata acquires Caradigm’s identity and access management unit
Healthcare IT security firm Imprivata has acquired the identity and access management business of Caradigm. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Caradigm provides a range of identity and access management solutions, including governance, risk management and compliance and clinical and IT efficiency solutions such as single sign-on and multi-factor authentication to over 100 healthcare organizations globally.
The acquisition will help reinforce authentication and access management platform for the healthcare enterprise to accelerate the development of new capabilities that will improve provider productivity.
In addition, the platform will decrease security risks and operational IT cost for hospitals and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) around the globe.
Caradigm will continue to operate as a population health company focused on bettering patient care, advancing the health of populations and lowering healthcare costs.
