Crossmatch Nomad 60 FBI Appendix F and Mobile Identification FAP 60 certified

Crossmatch has announced that its Nomad 60 Wireless Reader from received certification from the FBI under Appendix F and Mobile Identification FAP 60.

Nomad readers feature a capacitive thin-film transistor sensor, provide superior fingerprint scanning performance outdoors and in bright ambient light, and are not affected by tattooed or stained fingers, according to the announcement.

“The Nomad 60 Wireless Reader delivers true mobility wrapped with the thoughtful design and reliability that are Crossmatch hallmarks,” noted John Hinmon, Vice President of Marketing. “We offer complete flexibility and mobility during in-field identification and verification applications. Law enforcement, border control and military users are not encumbered by power and communication cords, light sensitivity or hard to use smaller platen formats – those hassles don’t exist with Nomad.”

Hinmon told Biometric Update late last year that Crossmatch plans to continue to roll out products in the Nomad device line and related solutions in 2018.
