Green Bit named a finalist in IARPA N2N Challenge

Green Bit revealed today that it has qualified as a finalist in the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) Nail to Nail (N2N) Fingerprint Challenge. The challenge posed the question “Can you build the best autonomous nail to nail fingerprint capture device?”

The Green Bit team demonstrated how their DactyScan40i hardware scanner and software can automate the capture technology, minimizing human operators from physically interacting with the subject and rolling the fingerprints, which is the current method employed by law enforcement.

The winners of the challenge will be announced on March 21st as part of the Biometrics Institute’s U.S. Conference.

Green Bit has recently increased its focus on partnerships to provide them access to the financial sector, Sergio Rainero, Green Bit COO told Biometric Update in an exclusive email interview.
