NuData honored for its leadership in fraud prevention

NuData Security has been awarded the “Best Fraud Prevention Company” award by FinTech Breakthrough, an independent organization that recognizes leading companies, technologies and products in the global FinTech market. The 2018 FinTech Breakthrough Award program attracted more than 3,000 nominations from across the globe.
“We are thrilled to recognize NuData Security for their leadership position in the category of fraud prevention and congratulate them for their significant technology innovation to help mitigate these increasing risks of fraud faced by the industry today,” said James Johnson, managing director of FinTech Breakthrough.
NuData’s integrated multi-layered solutions protect customers’ online environments across the complete user session, enabling clients to prevent and block threats that happen at the pre-login stage and across the entire session, monitoring all activity until the user logs out.
“Every day, leading organizations worldwide trust NuData to protect their customers and preserve their brand integrity,” said Michel Giasson, co-founder and CEO of NuData Security, a Mastercard Company. “We’re pleased to be honored by the FinTech Breakthrough Awards Program, and view this recognition as an important validation of our success and the possibilities ahead of us.”
NuData security research released last month shows that account takeovers increased by ten times from 2016 to 2017 and that 40 percent of account access attempts were flagged as high-risk in 2017, increasing from only 15 percent in 2016. The company estimates that half of all login attempts are now high-risk.
The behavioral biometrics firm was acquired by Mastercard last year.
