Trusona unveils upgrades to password-free authentication SDK

Trusona has added ID scanning to its Trusona Executive authentication SDK and updated its patent-pending anti-replay technology, the company announced.

Organizations can implement Trusona Executive in their mobile applications to verify user identities across any channel. It uses three factors to replace usernames, passwords, one-time passwords (OTPs) and hard tokens. On mobile browsers, users “deep link” with the brand’s app to approve the login, and on desktop browsers, users scan a QR code for access.

“A frictionless user experience can yield increased customer satisfaction, loyalty, advocacy, and customer lifetime value. That experience starts with authentication,” said Greg Palmer, vice president of Finovate. “Trusona is able to achieve that delicate balance between security and convenience, offering an authentication experience that’s intuitive, transparent and functional. We’re happy to have them debuting their Trusona Executive solution at FinovateSpring 2018.”

Trusona’s authentication suite also includes Trusona Essential and Trusona Elite, which it says is the only authentication technology to receive insurance backing from an insurance carrier rated A+.

Authentication methods leveraging mobile devices, such as the FIDO protocol, are rapidly growing in popularity, as shown by deployments of technologies from companies like Nok Nok Labs.
