Regula featuring document verification solutions at FTE Europe
Regula is showcasing its document reader SDK for Android and iOS mobile platforms and its desktop document verification devices this week at FTE Europe 2018 in Dublin, Ireland. Regula’s software can validate more than 6,300 types of identity documents.
The mobile solution – which is used by law-enforcement agencies, flight booking and online check-in systems, air ticket sales agencies, airline security companies and organizations dealing with identity documents including the International Air Transport Association (IATA) – reads all standard and non-standard MRZ formats; provides automatic data detection, recognition, parsing and verification; reads and authenticates e-documents; delivers a fully offline operation, and; supports reading of 1D and 2D barcodes.
Future Travel Experience Europe annually gathers representatives of major airlines, airports, OEMs, suppliers and other air transport and travel industry leaders, as well as creates a unique platform for collaboration.
Earlier this week the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and IATA agreed to adopt a common approach, exchange information and work together to harmonize the use of biometric standards and interoperability throughout the international travel sector. David Menzel of SITA also told Biometric Update that airport biometrics are at a potential turning point.
