FaceTec has appointed business development executive and biometrics industry expert Steve Cook its executive team. Cook joins FaceTec as VP of Business Development and will spearhead the roll-out of the firm’s patented ZoOm 3D face authentication technology in the EMEA region.

Cook brings more than six years of strategy-level biometric industry experience with a focus on the financial services sector, primarily within Europe and the Middle East. He has advised numerous banks and enterprises on their digital identity strategies regarding the deployment of biometric solutions and meeting the compliance requirements of Strong Customer Authentication under PSD2. Cook also speaks regularly at industry events, contributes to industry publications and moderates the Biometrics for eCommerc group on LinkedIn.

“Assembling the best executive team and advisory in the industry is critical to our success,” said Kevin Alan Tussy, founder and CEO of FaceTec. “We are very fortunate to have Steve join our team. He has a wealth of product and market knowledge in biometrics, and has a very deep understanding of our business. His focused marketing and business development experience is invaluable to us.”

Earlier this year The CIO Review named FaceTec as one of its ten most promising technology solutions providers in physical security for 2018, highlighting FaceTec’s AI-driven ZoOm 3D Face Login solution for its unique physical access security benefits.
