Exabeam and SecureAuth + Core Security partner for enterprise credential threat protection

Security information and event management company Exabeam and identity security automation company SecureAuth + Core Security have formed a collaborative partnership to offer enterprises protection from increasingly sophisticated credential-based threats.

Noting that compromised credentials top the list of data breach causes in the 2018 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report, the companies have announced the integration the Exabeam Security Management Platform with SecureAuth Idp to identify and monitor user and device access risk with advanced analytics.

Exabeam’s Smart Timeline tracks user behavior to assign a dynamic risk score, which SecureAuth leverages to apply adaptive authentication, stepping up verification or denying access to applications and data altogether.

“Credential-based attacks are typically difficult to detect because attackers impersonate legitimate users. To protect against these types of attacks, organizations need to rethink their enterprise security strategy and move to an identity-centric approach based on a Zero Trust model,” said Ted Plumis, VP of Worldwide Channels at Exabeam. “We are excited to partner with SecureAuth + Core Security to deliver a streamlined, orchestrated security solution for customers who need to identify suspicious activity to quickly remediate threats in their environment.”

The integration provides unified, real-time visibility across the organization to identify identity threats, and provides pre-built incident timelines to automate a previously manual part of the investigation process, according to the announcement. The joint solution is part of the Connected Security Alliance, and its interoperability has been tested to help with quick and painless implementation.
