Telpo exhibits, discusses biometric payments at Trustech

 

Telpo reports a very positive reception as it introduced its next-generation smart payment terminal and biometric devices today at Trustech 2018.

Senior product manager for Telpo Mr. Gao also delivered a presentation on biometric payments at the “Innovation Stage”.

Earlier this month NEXT Biometrics revealed it had received an order for fingerprint sensor modules from Telpo to be integrated into POS devices for the Indian market.

Telpo facial recognition cash register

Telpo unveiled its facial recognition cash register last week at the Modern Retail Expo in Jakarta, Indonesia. The international exhibition of retail equipment and technologies features retail equipment and fittings, retail technologies and innovations, payment and card technologies, and e-commerce.

According to the company web site, Telpo’s TPS650-face smart ‘face pay’ cash register is integrated with a high-definition camera and a sophisticated face recognition algorithm to enable quick and accurate face identification and to complete face-based payments. There are three types of face recognition camera available to retailers including single-lens RGB camera, dual-lens camera and 3D depth-sensing camera. SDK are also available.
