CyberExtruder, Hanwha Techwin develop biometric video surveillance solution

CyberExtruder, in partnership with surveillance and optoelectronics company Hanwha Techwin, have announced the integration of IP video cameras with its Aureus 3D facial recognition software. According to the announcement, Aureus 3D is able to pair faces at a speed of 25 million instructions per second.

“We designed the best face recognition application in the industry,” explains CyberExtruder president and CEO Paul E. Nicholas. “It offers the flexibility to connect and configure a wide variety of Hanwha cameras. Our patented 2D to 3D pose correction technology—with deep convolutional neural network algorithms—offers exceptional performance and meets real-world challenges. Coupled with the best three-dimensional biometrics of its kind, it stands in a class by itself.”

“The integration is aligned with the goal of providing a complete solution for video surveillance,” added Alex Pazos, director of business development at Hanwha.

The announcement notes that both companies are currently working together on projects in Peru, Colombia, Mexico and Ecuador deploying biometric technology solutions for banks, airports, casinos, universities and city surveillance.
