New VP to support TypingDNA’s sales efforts in the US market

TypingDNA announced today that it has appointed cybersecurity industry sales veteran Terry Freeman as its new vice president of sales. Freeman, a former U.S. naval flight officer, is expected to contribute to TypingDNA’s mission to expand into the United States market.

Freeman brings more than 20 years of sales and business development experience with companies including Bitdefender, Symantec, Oracle, and government agencies to TypingDNA. In his most recent role as Bitdefender’s director of sales for North America Freeman drove strategic sales development, created and enhanced the partner network and grew strong relationships with North American businesses.

“Freeman’s track record of success will be invaluable as TypingDNA sees accelerated growth in behavioral biometrics,” says Tudor Goicea, chief revenue officer. “This collaboration will be a key asset in achieving TypingDNA’s goal to provide enterprises with innovative typing biometrics technology used for a range of authentication situations. With the energy, passion, vision, and strategic focus which Freeman brings, he will be an excellent addition to our experienced, data-driven team.”

“TypingDNA has a compelling story and a distinct competitive advantage in the behavioral biometrics market,” adds Freeman. “In the coming years, there is great potential for growth in cybersecurity and TypingDNA has already been acknowledged as an innovator in the industry. I look forward to working from the U.S. office and applying my experience driving sales transformations to extend on the U.S. market, and grow our business.”

In late January TypingDNA announced it had raised $1.5M in seed round funding from European venture firm GapMinder Venture Partners, as well as several international investors from U.S., U.K., and the European Union.
