Jumio’s video selfie authentication solution recognized at 2019 Golden Bridge Awards

Jumio was honored at this year’s Golden Bridge Awards in the Authentication category by being named a Silver Winner for Jumio Authentication. The video selfie authentication solution was selected for its ability to prevent account takeover and fraud by leveraging facial biometrics.

Jumio completes more than 300,000 ID verifications daily and more than 200 million verifications to date using a unique hybrid approach of augmented intelligence, AI, machine learning, facial biometrics, certified liveness detection, computer vision technologies and human review to prevent fraud, simplify compliance and determine if users are who they claim to be.

Jumio Authentication provides businesses with a fast, secure, accurate, and easy to use video-selfie identification tool to prove the identity of users for online transactions with FaceTec’s ZoOm 3D Face Login with TrueLiveness Detection.

“Continuous data breaches equip fraudsters with everything they need to perpetrate identity theft and account takeover,” says Robert Prigge, Jumio president. “We’re honored to provide an alternative to traditional authentication methods that can be easily bypassed or guessed, by leveraging face-based biometric authentication to ensure user data doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.”

Prigge adds, “Having just launched in Q1 2019, winning the Silver Golden Bridge award against seasoned solutions on the market validates our efforts to ensure users are who they claim to be online, saving enterprises from significant fraud-related loss while making the internet a safer place.”

Jumio announced a 45 percent increase in sales over the same quarter a year ago in its Q2 2019 earnings report. The company also reported a 60 percent jump in revenue in the first quarter of this year.
