ImageWare Systems biometric platform gets security compliance validation by SOC-2 audit

ImageWare Systems has received security compliance validation for its Biometric Identity Management Platform, after completing an audit for Service Organization Control 2, conducted by NDNB Assurance LLP, a leading SOC-2 auditor, the company announced.
The SOC-2 audit is the industry standard which confirms ImageWare Systems deploys the proper processes and practice to ensure its platform is safe and secure. SOC-2 was created by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) for cloud service providers that offer data hosting and data processing services, among others.
“Protecting our customers’ data and privacy is our highest priority,” said Jim Miller, CEO, ImageWare Systems. “SOC-2 compliance is widely recognized as a benchmark of security, and we’re very proud to have third-party validation that our processes are secure.”
Besides SOC-2, ImageWare Systems provides software designed and built to support many U.S. and international standards and guidelines including GDPR, CCPA, PSD2, PCI, and FIPS 140-2 (level 3).
In November, although ImageWare Systems reported modest Q3 results, in the given timeframe the company launched GoVerifyID for macOS, its biometric technology was added by Fujitsu to its DigitalSuite, and it attended a joint planning session with Fujitsu’s Latin America Sales and Marketing team in Mexico to discuss 2020 opportunities.
