Bringing FIDO authentication to the Gluu Casa platform
AuthenTrend partners with Gluu on passwordless biometric solutions

Fingerprint biometric security solutions provider AuthenTrend has partnered with identity and access management (IAM) firm Gluu on the development of new passwordless infrastructures.

As part of the new collaboration, Gluu’s open-source cloud identity platform Casa will introduce compatibility with ATKey.Pro, AuthenTrend’s authentication device.

ATKey.Pro is a compact USB key, compliant with a series of security protocols, including FIDO2, Universal Second Factor (U2F), and WebAuthn.

The device has been already used in a variety of industry applications, including banking, education, healthcare, and data centers.

Introducing compatibility with the Gluu server will now allow ATKey.Pro users to authenticate themselves quickly and securely, according to the announcement, exploiting Casa’s U2F and FIDO2 protocols.

Thanks to the new partnership, companies will also be able to roll out secure biometric authentication solutions using the combination of ATKey.Pro and Gluu Casa, thus reducing both costs and risks of data breaches.

AuthenTrend was founded in 2016, and has been growing steadily since. The company joined the RSA Ready Technology Partner Program in May last year, and closed partnerships with Broadcom and Microsoft in November.

In the same month, Gluu partnered with Plurilock on continuous biometric authentication solutions.
