Precise Biometrics issues third-quarter report
Precise Biometrics issued a third-quarter report that noted that its Tactivo for iPad product obtained approval by Apple in their Made for iPhone program (MFi). By joining the Made for iPhone program, Precise Biometrics now gets the developer technical support and components needed, along with the tools, documentation, technical support and certification logos needed to create certified electronic accessories that connect to the iPod, iPhone and iPad.
In this quarter, the company also received its first U.S. government related purchase orders and started off pilot projects across several U.S. federal government military and civilian agencies.
Precise Biometrics also received Tactivo orders from two leading mobile software providers. Thursby Software Systems and an additional recognized partner together placed orders exceeding 1,000 Tactivo units for delivery in last quarter of 2012.
The company also announced a partnership with the Inpeco Group, developer of solutions that trace key healthcare processes. Inpeco Group chose Precise Match-on-Card technology to trace patient ID and blood testing transmissions, eliminating human ‘error’ in the process.
Precise Biometrics also announced a partnership with HID Global. Through the partnership, Common Access Card and Personal Identity Verification Cards can now deliver encrypted access to sensitive data through Tactivo.
