UK Minister of State for Immigration Mark Harper to headline World BORDERPOL Congress

BORDERPOL has announced Mark Harper MP, the UK`s Minister of State for Immigration will headline this year`s World BORDERPOL Congress, set to be held at Central Hall Westminster, London, December 3-4, 2012.

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, last year, at BORDERPOL`s annual conference, Harper was also gave a keynote speech, though he was accompanied by Tony Smith, the interim head of the UK Border Force, and Jason Kenney, Canada`s Minister of Citizenship, immigration and multiculturalism.

`Following the success of the inaugural event last year, BORDERPOL is pleased and delighted to once again welcome Minister Harper, whose keynote address will set the context for two days of high-level debate and discussion on the challenges facing border control and immigration agencies around the world,” BORDERPOL Executive Director Thomas Tass said.

The World BORDERPOL Congress is a 2-day event tackling high-level issues affecting the border and migration management industries as a whole. Throughout the event there will also be facilitated discussions and debate regarding current and future policies as well as technologies that contribute towards safe and secure border and migration management.

Event  organizers have also announced that registration for the Congress is now open, and the early bird deadline to save on the price of registration is October 3, 2013.
