Vision-Box signs new national framework agreement with UKBF

Vision-Box has announced a new national framework agreement with the UK Border Force for the deployment of automated border control eGates.

Specifically, says the company, under the agreement, Vision-Box will deploy up to 180 of its second generation eGates, Vision-Box vb i-match 5.

Since 2009, Vision-Bos has awarded 46 of these gates for the UK Border Force.

To deliver this latest project, Vision-Box has sub-contracted ESP Global Services for on-site engineering, and Accenture for accreditation and consulting services.

“Today, as in 2009, Vision-Box is fully committed to supporting Border Force protect the UK border by offering a secured, unparalled and positive experience to passengers entering the country,” Miguel Leitmann, SVP of Vision-Box said.

“This deployment will represent the biggest ePassport Gate project in Europe,” Haroona Franking, Director of Border Systems Strategy & Capability said. “The new gates will allow Border Force to improve the passenger experience while maintaining security at the border and enabling the effective deployment of our resources to areas of highest priority.”

Reported previously, Vision-Box recently announced the deployment of its eGates at the Lisbon International Airport.
