Integrated Biometrics launches flexible fingerprint sensor at Mobile World Congress

Integrated Biometrics has launched the IBtap area fingerprint sensor at this year’s Mobile World Congress, taking place in Barcelona.

According to the company, the IBtap flexible fingerprint sensor is the world’s only non-optical FBI certified fingerprint sensor. IB says its technology is the smallest, smartest and only flexible film that has been certified to meet the FBI’s standards.

Considering the physical challenges associated with embedded sensors, a flexible one could have a major impact on the space.

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, M2SYS recently announced that it will support the “Sherlock” LES fingerprint sensor from Integration Biometrics through its Hybrid Biometric Platform.
