SuperCom to launch electronic monitoring suite with fingerprint biometrics in North America

SuperCom announced that its M2M division will soon be launching its newly improved electronic monitoring suite PureSecurity, which includes its PureTag, PureTrack, PureCom, and PureMonitor products, to the North American marketplace.

The company will launch PureSecurity suite at the American Probation and Parole Association exhibition and conference in New Orleans on August 3.

The PureSecurity Suite is an electronic monitoring and tracking platform which offers a wide range of features, including secure communication, security and anti-tamper mechanisms, voice communication touch screens, fingerprint biometrics and a long battery life.

In addition, the suite provides public safety monitoring programs with a “complete end-to-end electronic monitoring solution which is reliable, flexible, and secure,” according to the press release.

Beginning in early August, SuperCom will offer the suite to its U.S. customers, then broaden this reach in September to customers in Europe, South America and Africa.

“The M2M and Internet of Things markets are emerging very fast globally and our applicable market, just for the public safety sector, is projected to be in excess of $6 billion by 2018,” said Ordan Trabelsi, president of SuperCom, North America. “SuperCom has invested many years in developing truly leading M2M products and together with our decades of experience in executing on large IT and security contracts, we believe that we are poised to quickly gain substantial market share, both in the US and globally.”

Previously reported by BiometricUpdate.com, SuperCom received new orders totaling more than $4 million earlier this year.
