MorphoTrust opens 28 new TSA precheck biometric enrollment centers

MorphoTrust USA (Safran) announced it has opened 28 new off-airport IdentoGO Centers over the last three months, enabling travellers to enroll in TSA Precheck.

In addition, travellers can enroll in TSA Precheck at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Miami International Airport, Spokane International Airport, a second location at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and a third location at Los Angeles International Airport.

Previously reported, MorphoTrust USA (Safran) recently introduced a mobile enrollment service to support the Transportation Security Administration goal of increasing the number of travelers using the TSA pre-check program.

MorphoTrust’s new locations bring the total number of TSA Precheck enrollment centers nationwide to 331.

Since it launched, the TSA Precheck application program has enrolled over 800,000 travelers. MorphoTrust has provided enrollment and customer services for the agency under a universal enrollment services contract.

IdentoGO Centers serve as off-airport enrollment locations that provide U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents access to various identity-related services, including the secure capture and transmission of electronic fingerprints.

“We’ve seen impressive growth in the number of Americans enrolling in TSA Precheck since the program rolled out for the general public nearly a year ago,” said Charles Carroll, MorphoTrust’s senior vice president for identity services. “This momentum shows that passengers really value the convenience and improved travel experience that comes with signing up. MorphoTrust is proud to partner with TSA in its effort to help make air travel easier and more secure for millions of Americans and LPRs.”

Travellers looking to enroll in the TSA Precheck application program are able to pre-enroll online where they can make an appointment at an enrollment center.

Trained agents at the enrollment centers will collect the applicant’s biographic information and verify approved identity documents before capturing their fingerprints on a live-scan device.

The fingerprints are then securely transmitted to the TSA, which will review the data and complete the application vetting process.

Once the application is approved, the TSA will mail the applicant a Known Traveler Number, which covers five years of TSA Precheck status.

The processing fee is $85 and the entire enrollment process takes around two weeks to complete.
