INTERPOL World Congress 2015 to address border management issues

The inaugural INTERPOL World Congress 2015 will address border management concerns along with the solutions that combat these issues.

First reported in November, INTERPOL World Congress 2015 is a new industry event aimed at bringing together security key solution providers and security professionals to identify important security challenges and co-create solutions to combat them and ultimately make the world a safer place

INTERPOL World Congress will coincide with the INTERPOL World Exhibition and will be held April 14 -16 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore.

The congress will emphasize public-private partnerships, with forums on the areas of cyber security, safe cities, border management and supply chain security.

The border management forum will be chaired by Michael O’Connell, INTERPOL director of operational police support for border management.

Solutions for countering these challenges will be presented by INTERPOL World’s strategic partners, including border management solutions from 3M Identity Management, Entrust Datacard and Securiport.

“In the current security landscape, there is a need for law enforcement agencies to have access to relevant, informative and timely information, while at the same time guaranteeing that basic principles of privacy are maintained,” said O’Connell. “The aim of the border management forum will therefore be to address key security challenges and the importance of exchanging security data while ensuring high standards of data protection.”
