Croma Security Solutions releases biometric vein recognition solution for businesses

Croma Security Solutions PLC announced it released Fastvein Time & Attendance, an attendance and people clocking solution with biometric vein recognition for businesses.

The company developed FastVein in partnership with Hitachi, which provides the finger vein authentication technology, to create a comprehensive identity recognition and access control software solution.

The time and attendance product offers a range of benefits, including the ability to control labor costs, eliminate fraud and manual entry mistakes, and generate extensive data reporting, along with the high accuracy of biometric finger vein technology.

The FastVein T&A system can be purchased in the form of an Single Station Deployment (SSD) package.

The SSD includes all the components needed to install and operate on desktops, laptops or tablets, including Data Engine, Enrollment Client, Endpoint Software and the FastVein biometric scanner.

The system also offers an infinite number of configurations to accommodate all working environments, and can be scaled up to generate an effective solution for larger businesses.

“The use of biometric finger vein technology makes FastVein T&A the most accurate time and attendance system available,” said Roberto Fiorentino, CEO of Croma Security Solutions. “It is more reliable than fingerprint technology and it by far exceeds the benefits of using a traditional card or token system. With FastVein T&A there are no added run-on costs such as lost cards and tokens, and individual businesses will be able to buy and install this hi-tech system in-house.”

FastVein T&A features an intuitive web-based reporting platform that can be easily managed from a customizable dashboard on any desktop, laptop or tablet with an internet connection.

Croma Security Solutions said the system will help improve attendance, productivity and efficiency, as well as save businesses (with an average annual payroll of around £500,000) an estimated £15,000 to 25,000 (US$22,800 to $38,000) per year, depending on industry and sector.

“The versatility of FastVein T&A means that much larger workplaces of up to 500+ can also benefit from the system by creating alternate configurations of all of the elements to create a bespoke solution,” said Fiorentino. “The system can also be scaled up as businesses grow and later decide that they need to expand their T&A provision.”
