Encap Security establishes advisory board with financial services experts
Encap Security announced it has formed an advisory board comprised of digital banking expert Paal Kaperdal, mobile banking leader Roy Vella, and financial security veteran Stephen R. Katz.
The company established the advisory board to help accelerate its growth under the guidance of the financial industry professionals.
Kaperdal most recently served as head of digital channels and senior vice president at TD Bank Group.
He has over 20 years of experience, having developed and implemented many successful digital channel strategies for financial services, leveraging integrated online and mobile capabilities.
He is also a trusted advisor for established and emerging US and Canadian fintech companies.
Before launching his own independent business consultancy, Vella worked for RBS and served as director of business development at PayPal — two companies for which he developed strategic operations for new financial products and services.
As a digital service expert who has significant experience in managing joint venture partners, Vella specializes in mobile efforts within established financial institutions.
Katz has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry where he has helped to establish, build and lead information, security and privacy functions.
He previously served as the industry’s first chief information security officer (CISO) at Citibank where he directed, organized and instituted company-wide privacy and security programs.
Additionally, he was appointed as the first financial services sector coordinator for Critical Infrastructure Protection by the US Department of Treasury.Encap provides multi-factor biometric authentication and digital signing for the enterprise and banking sectors.
