Suprema biometric access control solutions wins security award

Biometrics and security technology firm Suprema Inc. has been named to the world’s top 50 security companies in 2015 Security 50 Ranking by A&S.

A&S International’s Security 50 Ranking recognizes companies in a variety of security related fields, including control, biometrics, and video surveillance and intruder alarms, demonstrating outstanding achievement and development. All participants had to provide audited financial reports.

Suprema jumped up eight places this year and are the only dedicated biometrics company to be ranked in five consecutive years. Among the ‘Access Control Product Group’, Suprema showed largest year-on-year revenue growth and are now the world’s fifth fastest growing security company behind Hikvision, Avigilon, Dahua and Everspring.

Suprema reported $58.3 million US revenue in the 2014 fiscal year that results to 28% revenue growth from the previous year. The company has reported consistent double digit growth in the past decade and reported the largest revenue growth in 2014 for the last five years.

“Global market demand for security equipment is reaching new heights as the world is unsettled from numerous terrorist attacks, and we strive for more security and safety. Suprema’s innovations and technology will play a big role in achieving such goal, and the phenomenal growth of our revenue is the proof that we are moving in the right direction,” said James Lee, CEO of Suprema.

Previously reported, Actual iD’s latest cloud-based time and absence management solution leverages Suprema biometric readers and enrolment devices to ensure that employees’ real identity is being used for time tracking and compliance purposes.
