id3 Technologies opens office in Bogotá, Colombia

id3 Technologies has opened an office in Bogotá, Colombia after being granted “biometric operator status” by the Colombian National Civil Registry office.

The France-based biometrics company says its fingerprint recognition and identification management solutions have been securing transactions made by solicitors’ offices in Colombia since 2015 and that this designation will open the way to the development of a range of projects in the country.

“Id3 LATAM is strategically located for the successful roll-out of innovative security projects and solutions under way in Colombia, as well as the development and implementation of future challenges in neighbouring countries,” explains Jean-Louis Revol, CEO of id3 Technologies.

Last year, TIEMPO SECURE and id3 Technologies set up a partnership allowing TIEMPO SECURE to deliver its TESIC-SC chips with already installed biometric match-on-card routines for smartcard application developers.
