SmartMetric releasing new biometric cards in September

SmartMetric announced it will be releasing its new biometric cards for banking and security industry customers next month.

New features of the updated SmartMetric biometric cards include: an auto on feature that allows the card’s internal fingerprint scanner to be activated the moment the user touches the card’s fingerprint sensor; an upgraded internal rechargeable battery that can withstand much higher heat during the card plastic lamination process, and; increased light emission power output of its LED indicator light allowing the card lights to be seen easily in the daylight.

The biometric card company also redesigned its electronics board so that the five different types of cards they make for the credit card and security card industries are able to be manufactured from one board.

“The one-board-many-cards now allows us to do just in time card manufacturing where our electronic component assembly is able to switch from one card type to another almost instantly,” explains Chaya Hendrick, President & CEO of SmartMetric, Inc. “This gives us not only better scale of manufacturing but just in time manufacturing capability to meet the demands for our range of card biometric card products.”
