SecuGen featuring ultra-slim fingerprint sensor at GSX 2018

SecuGen be displaying its recently released U10 ultra-slim fingerprint sensor next week at the 2018 Global Security Exchange expo in Las Vegas.

The U10 is the sensor used inside of SecuGen’s Hamster Pro 10 fingerprint reader. Measuring 12 millimeters thin, the company says the U10 is the world’s thinnest FBI certified FAP 10 optical fingerprint sensor. The U10 can be embedded in ATMs, access control devices, laptops, handhelds, industrial equipment and many other types of products.

Both the U10 sensor and Hamster Pro 10 fingerprint reader are compatible with SecuGen’s free SDKs for Windows, Linux, and Android. The Hamster Pro 10 also works with Windows Hello right out of the box for convenient fingerprint login to Windows 10 computers.

“We are excited by and proud of our new U10 sensor,” commented Jeff Brown, VP of Sales and Marketing for SecuGen. “The U10 is the thinnest PIV certified optical fingerprint sensor in the world today. This makes it, from both a size and quality prospective, ideal for integration into a wide variety of products. We already are working with several ATM, POS and handheld vendors.”

SecuGen will also be showcasing its soon to be released Unity Bluetooth fingerprint reader and the U20-ASF-BT OEM Bluetooth sensor at GSX 2018.
