Sales of Onfido biometric and ID check products leap 342 percent in 2018

Onfido has announced that its sales increased by 342 percent year over year in 2018, which it hails as a landmark year after winning several industry awards, forming new partnerships and winning notable global clients.

Over the last four years, Onfido says its new products, rapid international growth, and strong sales in different industries have led to a growth rate of 3,857 percent. New clients include Remitly, Indiegogo, and Bitstamp. Recent awards and recognitions include a place on Deloitte’s 2018 UK Technology Fast 50.

“It has been a milestone year for us at Onfido, and we’re particularly proud of the growing trend of trial before you buy that we’ve successfully been able to establish,” said Husayn Kassai, CEO and co-founder of Onfido. “This reinforces the team’s belief that our AI-powered identity verification offering is the leading solution on the market. We look forward to building on this year’s achievements even further in 2019.”

Onfido hired several senior-level managers and executives during the year, including CFO David Clarke, Chrissy Dal Porto as VP of Global Marketing, Ruth Penfold as Director of People, and Amy Wallace as General Counsel, as well as Michael Van Gestel as Identity Document Fraud Consultant.

The company says it now provides identity verification to more than 1500 companies, and will announce several major new partners in 2019.
