Aratek set to showcase biometric ID solutions at SDW, ID4Africa

Aratek will be demonstrating its lineup of biometric identity solutions including terminals, scanners and modules and its new flagship product Marshall next month at SDW in London and at ID4Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Marshall, according to the announcement, promises true and secure biometric ‘identify-anywhere’ for many different use-cases. The device features a built-in printer and offers seamless integration with various FBI-certified fingerprint scanners including FAP20, FAP30, or FAP 45.

According to Samuel Wu, Aratak’s Vice President for Sales, International Business Department, Aratek believes the demand for solutions that allow users to perform secure identification and authentication from virtually any location will become even stronger. “The idea of secure ‘identify-anywhere’ has always been the holy grail of government identity. And Marshall just made this a reality by integrating registration, matching, printing, and other functions into one portable module which can be deployed practically anywhere.”

“It’s interesting how Aratek’s rallying cry of ‘Identifying the World. Easily. Securely’ neatly dovetails into ID4Africa’s current theme of ‘Identity Ecosystems for Service Delivery’,” Wu adds. “We are excited to show the African market how our technology will enable the inclusion of hundreds of millions of people into government services, social welfare, and economic take-off.”

Biometric Update is the official journalist of ID4Africa 2019. This is the fourth year in row in which the news outlet has been selected to provide full coverage of the event.

Wu discussed Aratek’s intellectual property, its new mobile biometric technology, and trends in mobile biometrics with Biometric Update earlier this year.
